Stronger local relationships.
More possibilities, together.
Kindred is rebranding with a renewed focus on stronger local connections and referral opportunities for independent veterinarians and their teams.
Building on our work in intelligence, consulting, and continuing education.
Kindred already supports independent veterinarians and their teams through business intelligence, consulting, and continuing education.
As we rebrand, we are creating the conditions for stronger local relationships: opportunities to get to know one another, build trust, and nurture connections over time. Our goal is to help those relationships lead to more collaboration and referral opportunities within your own market.

Part of what Kindred is developing is a practical way for independent end-of-life providers to coordinate referrals, find coverage, and make handoffs easier. Kindred is able to provide this through its partnership with Hearth, a small privately owned software company here in the U.S. Kindred and Hearth are working together to improve case referral flow to independent, locally-owned providers in the community.

Kindred is rebranding with a renewed focus on creating and nurturing stronger relationships between independent veterinarians within local markets. Our existing work in business intelligence, business consulting, and clinical and business continuing education continues to support independent veterinarians and their teams.
Kindred Orbit, currently piloting, is one part of Kindred’s broader offering. It is intended to support local relationships by making referrals, coverage, and handoffs easier. Kindred’s wider work supports independent veterinarians and their teams; the initial referral pilot focuses on independent practices providing end-of-life services.
Independent veterinary practices providing end-of-life services, including in-home euthanasia, hospice, palliative care, and comfort-care visits. We welcome practices interested in contributing practical feedback as the pilot takes shape. If you are preparing to launch, you can tell us that in your application.
Kindred Orbit is currently piloting. We are collecting founding cohort applications and expressions of interest from independent end-of-life practices for the local referral pilot. Pilot scope, timing, and participation requirements will be shared before you decide whether to participate.
The proposed model supports each practice’s identity and independent clinical judgment. Receiving practices would quote their own fees and bill families directly, with no price bidding on referrals. The referring practice would remain identified, with clear communication responsibilities and respect for the family’s choice.
Pilot pricing and participation terms will be provided before you make a commitment. Submitting this application is free and does not create a payment obligation.
Your experience with local relationships, referrals, and coverage challenges. Founding participants would help review early workflows, identify practical gaps, and offer feedback. Specific activities and time commitments will be shared before you accept an invitation.
Kindred will review the practice information you submit and may contact you to learn more. Invitations will depend on the pilot’s readiness, service areas, and participation needs. Credentials and practice details will be checked before participation. Applying does not guarantee admission, referrals, or an exclusive service area.
